Happy Monday! I am such a creature of habit that I love the routine and sameness that Monday brings. I love that my husband goes back to work, my oldest goes to preschool and my nanny comes so that I can work. :) It makes me feel organized and the rest of the week seems to fall into place when Monday happens. Today was a great day! My shooting days always leave me feeling exhilarated. I had two beautiful little baby's to create portraits of today and they were just amazing - so beautiful, so sweet and so lovely. I am going to post a sneak peek of little Noah first (don't worry Thea, your beautiful Michah is next.) :)

A few years ago I shot Noah's parents wedding and just love his Mom & Dad. His Mommy is one of the sweetest, down to earth girls I know and she is just drop dead gorgeous to boot and his Daddy is funny, sarcastic and not to bad to look at either. :)

Alexis & Jay - so great to see you today in parent mode - just adorable. Noah is one lucky little guy. Congrats.

Happy New Year! {Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer}

Wow - so hard to believe that its already the end of January. I still feel like I am cleaning up Christmas wrapping paper.

New Years Eve is not my favorite holiday. I always feel like I should be doing something wild & crazy, all dressed up and partying until wee hours in the morning. To be quite honest after all the holiday hustle & bustle and with Michigan being like the arctic tundra all I really want to do is curl up on the couch in my pj's with a good book and a nice warm cup of hot cocoa.

So when Jessie contacted me about shooting her New Years Eve wedding I was thrilled to not have to actually worry about what I was doing to celebrate New Years. I had a built in party to go to and since I wear my "black uniform" to weddings I didn't even have to worry about what to wear - bonus.

I had a great time documenting the festivities and just love working with couples like Jessie & Travis. They braved a number of super cold situations just for the sake of some really fun photos. Not to mention that they (and all their friends and relatives) partied until the cows came home - because I am sure that must be how long you party in Chesaning Michigan.

I am so thankful to all of my wonderful clients. 2009 has been by far one of the busiest years I have had to date and I owe it all to the amazing families & couples that have chosen me to document the important moments in their life. I am in awe that you allowed me to preserve a chunk of your family history. With all my heart I adore all of you and thank you so much for letting me into your lives.

I have been terrible at keeping up with my blog the last couple of months because I really want everyone to have their photos, albums, canvases, etc. asap and blogging takes my time away from that.

So, if you haven't seen your beautiful face on my blog it will be coming in the new year when the winter lull hits.

This was my last session of the year and it was with an amazing client that I have been working with for the last few years. Her children are adorable and if you didn't know she was their Mom you would probably think they were hanging out with an uber stylish, super gorgeous older sister. She asked me to snap a few shots of her during their session and I was all about it. I jokingly told her that if I looked like she did I would probably be tempted to send out Christmas cards with just my photos on them. :)

So for now this will be my last blog post of 2009. Looking forward to sharing a few fun new products & ideas for 2010.

Crazy Cool Hair {Grand Rapids Children's Photographer}

Is this little guys' hair just the best ever? I am so glad I was able to capture him while he still had it. I saw him recently and Mom & Dad gave him a haircut. :(

I have to hand it to his Dad for really making this session shine. He jumped, ran, peek a booed, etc. until I am sure he was just sweating to really bring out his little guys fun loving personality. I just love to see families in love with their children and this Mom & Dad clearly are. What a blessing to grow up in a home filled with so much love.

If you know me at all you know that I absolutely looooove the color orange so I was so excited with what they wore!

Loving the Beautiful Fall Weather {Grand Rapids Children's and Family Portrait Photographer}

I am just loving the beautiful late Fall weather we have been having. It is such a treat to be able to shoot outside on location this time of year. I love the hats & adorable outfits these little munchkins had for their shoot. Their Mom warned me that her middle boy might be challenging and I was pleasantly surprised that he was a gem and that we got along great! Wouldn't you just kill for amazing curls and highlights like this little girl has. Just stunning.

One of the things I love when I am shooting is when clients incorporate their heritage and family traditions into their photos. Laurie is just the sweetest little Irish Mom and she was able to find these gorgeous traditional Irish sweaters for her boys for their fall photo shoot with me. For her littlest fella we also did a few studio shots of him in his Irish christening gown which was also amazing. I love working with young families and the energy and enthusiasm that they bring to a session. I am always beyond excited when I can get a good family shot with super young boys and love being able to capture those fun, crazy moments that families with little kids have. I know how quickly it will pass.

I hate to gush but one of the most amazing thing I am able to experience in this lifetime is being a mother. It is by far the most incredible part of who I am. Don't get me wrong - we definitely have our days... the crying, the naughty chair, etc. but there is nothing better than when a chubby little pair of two year old arms wrap around your neck and whisper in your ear "I wuv you momma". Call me selfish, but I especially love it when her Daddy is around and she says "I no wuv it da-eee I only wuv you". I know my days of hearing her say that are limited so I will take it while I can get it. :) Yesterday was so beautiful and I was thinking of how few photos I have taken of my girls this year so we jumped in the car and headed out for a little photo adventure. This is my youngest and I can't believe when I look at these how big she already is. After many years of waiting to have children she was a very exciting "surprise" and it seems like just yesterday that we brought her home. I love her so much and am so blessed to have her spunky little self as part of our family.

Jon & Stephanie are the modern day version of Cinderella & Prince Charming or at least I am sure that is what my daughter Payton would have thought had she seen them. Stephanie is an absolute classic beauty and I was just in love with her dress. It couldn't have been more perfect for her & her Prince (Jon) was so handsome, winsome and just doted on his bride. It's that time of year! Time for lots & lots of family photo sessions. That's my cheap excuse for not keeping up with my blog like I would like to. :)

I was so excited to photograph Tracy and her gang of little boys. They are so handsome and I just love the truly honest feel of their shoot. The first shot is one of my all time favorites! Sometimes brothers just need to tell each other off. I just love the expression of the oldest boy - "here we go again" :) I laughed out loud when I saw this one.

Josh & Katie {Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer}

Some shoots just remind you of why you love what you do so much - this was one of them. I had high expectations for this shoot & for myself because my subject was none other than my amazing assistant Josh. He has been assisting me for a couple of years and just recently got engaged and asked me to shoot his engagement and wedding images.

I am tied to Josh in a number of ways. One of his sisters is one of my closest friends, another of his sisters is my bookkeeper/office manager and my parents are friends with his parents - although I've really only known Josh for a few years we really go waaay back as in I was playing Barbie's with his sisters before he was even a twinkle in his parents eyes.

I really wanted to do an awesome job on this shoot for a number of reasons: 1) Josh works really hard at assisting me on every wedding, 2) I know he and his family's expectations are high as he is a photographer 3) I really like him & lastly because I really needed a shoot to inspire me artistically.

To be honest I was a little nervous at first because the light at our first location was not great, we had a watery eye situation and to be honest my day had been stressful and I just wasn't feeling it. We stopped at another location and my mojo picked up a little and then we stopped at a third location that I have been dying to shoot at and God shined down on us - literally. It was an "Aaaah" moment (that was a choir of angels singing in case it didn't translate well in type) the lighting was amazing, the outfits were killer, and Katie & Josh just started to shine in front of my camera. I just wanted to jump up and down with excitement. It felt so good to be creating such amazing images for someone I really respect & admire.

Josh & Katie I hope you love these as much as I do. You guys are so cute together and I can't wait for the wedding next summer.

I absolutely loved how beautiful things were when I was up in Traverse City/Elk Rapids - we just don't travel up that way often enough. I was also totally surprised by the number of families who had made the move from a busier area/busy lifestyle to somewhere simpler, quieter and more laid back. Here's to taking quiet walks on the beach, ice cream on the street corner, reading books on the front porch swing and lemonade stands in the front yard.

This family was full of love & is truly devoted to each other. Mom pulled her daughters wheelchair (and it was heavy) through the sand - did you read that? - through the sand by herself!! Now that is some serious dedication to get your family photos taken. I also loved her little boys response to my "do you like girls?" question. I usually get an embarassed "NO!"but he gave me a huge smile & gave me a very affirmative "Yes!" How's that for a boy who knows what he likes?

I spent a wonderful couple of days up in Traverse City thanks to Laurie. She is a party diva extraordinaire! Laurie organized 11 amazing families for me to come and photograph in the adorable town of Elk Rapids just outside Traverse City. I had a great time shooting all these super cute kiddos & families. In one day we had sunny skies, cloudy skies, windy skies and rainy skies. Despite the ever changing weather we got some amazing images that I will be sharing on the blog over the next couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone who came out and especially to Laurie for being an exceptional party host. Laurie is an amazing Mom but the thing I love most about her is her amazing sense of humor! Kevin & Kelsey are off exploring Ireland and I hope they will get a chance to hop online during their honeymoon to look at a few of the images from their big day.

Kevin & Kelsey & their family & friends were so wonderful to work with: kind, gracious, beautiful and so excited for the wedding. We had a beautiful day at Bay Pointe Inn on Gun Lake. As a photographer the weather was a dream come true - a nice bright day but overcast - I loved it! They also had their furry child as the ring bearer. He was so cute!

Lexie and Laney brought their beautiful little sister Leah in for her newborn photos and I had a great time shooting these three little cuties. I have watched them grow over the years and their Mommy gives me free reign to do my thing. I feel very blessed when I think of Brittany. She nannies for me a couple of days a week and she is the most phenomenal nanny ever! She loves on my girls, plans fun activities, does crafts, teaches them Bible stories, takes them to cool places, etc., etc. They are just crazy about her and so am I. Payton informed me the other day that "Miss Brittany knows a wot of stuff Mama, you only know a wittle stuff, but she knows a wot of stuff" and proceeded to fill me in on all the "stuff" Miss Brittany knows. :)

Well I recently photographed Brittany with her Mom - who should be just over the moon with what an amazing daughter she has - and her sister who is also just an awesome person and was so excited to document the love between this Mom and her daughters.

Briggs is turning one! I can hardly believe how fast the year has gone. I have documented him at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and now for his 1 year portraits. At the end of each of our sessions we have photographed him in his onesie with his little stuffed monkey. Up until now it has been a piece of cake. We just plop him down by the monkey and I shoot away and he sits & smiles, chews on the monkey, etc. Well this time was quite a different story. He had no interest in the monkey & was much more interested in climbing over my couch. :) What a difference a few months makes in the life of a little boy!

Things I love about my oldest daughter. Yes, this is a gratuitous self serving post but I can't help it - I love her.

Her kind, tender heart,

Her beautiful blue eyes,

Her laugh - especially her big belly laugh,

Her earnestness as she sings - mostly of her made up lyrics end up to the tune of "sweet nightingale" from Cinderella,

Her desire to know everything about everyone,

Her voice when she prays,

Stunning Mommy & girls [Grand Rapids children's photographer]

I have had the privilege of photographing these three gorgeous little girls before but never with their Mommy so I was so excited to have them all grace my camera lens. This was a super fun group for me on a sunny afternoon. Mom and the girls were open to anything and so great to shoot. I love each of their different looks and they are all obviously blessed with beauty from their gorgeous Mom.

I am always mindful of how important it is to document family and children but recently have felt a deep desire to make sure Mothers are documented along the way also. We are often behind the camera because we understand how important it is to preserve history for our families but way to often we are not in enough photos. Moms make sure you get on the other side of the camera soon!

My bones have been aching for a little spring weather and I was thrilled this weekend when I was shooting that Mr. Sunshine was smiling down on me. What a great feeling. Now if he would just come back.

This is my friend Missy who is just a beautiful Mommy inside & out. She makes it look so easy with her 3 adorable little girls. I think she could have 30 and still do it with grace & style.

I am starting to think I have a baby alarm clock attached to my forehead. Most photographers talk about how they can't get newborns awake for their photo sessions and for the life of me I can't get them to sleep - no matter how young. Yesterday I had sweet little baby Gus come and his Mommy told me how sleepy he was and as soon as he met me he was wide eyed and bushy tailed. He didn't poop out until the very end. What a trooper. Here are a few for his very tired Mommy! Hope you got some sleep last night.

I recently shot a really fun series of children's portraits recently that were so cute! Very fresh and clean and simple and I just love that. The tough thing about getting so many great shots is that it is soo hard to choose and some of those really adorable shots that define your child's personality don't always make the cut in lieu of a more traditional smiley face. Well I just wanted to give parents a couple of ideas on how their images would look together in a storyboard collage so that you can really capture the full gamut of all your little ones looks. Its been a long time since I have posted any wedding images. Last year I got a little bogged down and just didn't have time to get most of my weddings on the blog so I am so excited to share this beautiful couple with you.

I had a fabulous time sharing the day this past Saturday with Ryan and Valerie. God definitely has a special place in his heart for them. When we shot their engagement session we were blessed with gorgeous weather and then again on their wedding day in a month where we thought we may never see the sun again it was shiny, bright and just warm enough to venture outside. Valerie was absolutely beautiful- her wedding look reminded me of old hollywood - very glam. We shot at the beautiful Egypt Valley Country Club and their florist Gail Vanderlaan did an amazing job. Congratulations Ryan & Valerie. Best wishes for a full, happy and wonderful life together.

Urban Chic cutie

You never know what you are going to get when you shoot with a two year old - Some days I may get a bubbly happy toddler and other days I may get just flat out refusal to have their photo taken - and this could be the same child just on different days. Don't you wish in life that you had that kind of carte blanche with your mood & attitude? Too bad we have to grow up and always be pleasant to each other. Some days it just be really nice to scream "NOOO" at the top of your lungs and have people give you lollipops to try to get you to stop.

Well needless to say I did not have that with little Madelyn. She was just an angel and so composed and confident for a two year old. I had a great time shooting her and I always love Mom's & Dad's who aren't afraid to look like fools to make their child laugh and have a great time - which her parents were all about. She is clearly adored and rightfully so. Thanks for sharing your little gem with me.

I felt really silly recording this video. My dog Cooper was mesmerized by the whole process and kept wanting to climb up on the couch and help me out. He is a camera hog. After many takes with his rear end in the way I had to put him in his kennel while I taped so if you hear a whining in the background its him expressing his dissatisfaction with not sharing the limelight.

I much prefer being behind the camera but wanted a way to share with all of you some really fun ways to display your images.

I truly love what I do. I had another super fun day at the Lollipop portrait party at wiggles n giggles boutique in downtown Rockford. If you haven't visited this store you really must. It is so cute with adorable unique clothes & kids stuff.

I think God had a run on beautiful baby boy's lately which is so strange to me since in my circle of friends I know so many little girls and so many Mommy's pregnant with girls. I have shot a number of adorable newborn little boys lately and haven't heard of any newborn little girls. Have their been any? These little boys need someone's pigtails to pull. Usually newborns are so sleepy but this little cutie was so alert and wide eyed. Aren't his Mommy & Daddy pretty too?

I had such a fun year with portraits this year and photographed more families & children this year than I ever have and just loved it.

Just thought I would share some of the highlights of my 2008 weddings.

I feel so blessed that so many couples chose me to share in the special moments as they began their lives together! At every wedding I covered this summer & fall I walked away thinking - "wow! What a great couple and what a beautiful wedding. I am so lucky to be doing this" and then I would shoot another wedding the next weekend and think the same thing again and then again and again throughout the season. Thanks to everyone I worked with for making events that were visually beautifully and emotionally rich! What a privilege.

Isn't he just the cutest thing? His Mommy had to work extra hard to get him here! She even ended up slowly sliding right down in the ditch in front of my place. Luckily everyone was just fine and dandy and we carried on as usual thanks to On star who had her back on the road in the blink of an eye after we spent some time playing and shooting this little cutie. This is the second time I have shot him and he always ends up crashed out on my red couch.

I was so excited when it started snowing yesterday and was sticking to the ground. Everyone in my house was sleeping and the dog was just about to jump out of his skin so I decided to get my snow gear on and run around in the yard with him for a little while. I was having so much fun that I couldn't help but bust inside and make everyone come outside to play. I felt like I was 5 years old. I couldn't get snow pants, jackets, hats & mittens on everyone fast enough and Cooper (our dog) was stuck to my side like glue for fear of being left inside and missing out on the fun. We had a blast sliding down our little hill, eating snow and making a snow man that lasted about 2 seconds because the dog couldn't help but knock it over and dig it up like a maniac. My two little girls cheeks were super rosy and we had to have hot chocolate when we came inside to "warm up our tongues".

Two days from now three years ago we were getting ready for the arrival of our beautiful first daughter Payton. Now three super fast years later we are getting ready for her 3rd birthday bash. She is so excited she can hardly stand it.

I can't think of anything in the entire world that I love more than being a Mom. Although my days are very busy and sometimes (well most of the time) I am not on top of laundry, dishes, etc. there is nothing that I love more than seeing my daughter's big blue eyes light up. The thing that amazes me the most is that its over such little things. "OOOOHHH, we get a jelly bean for going on the potty", or "Yippee, its craft time - what are we gonna make today Mama?", "watch me pin around like a ballerina on one foot Mama", etc., etc. I love you Payton for making every moment of every day richer, happier, gleeful, colorful and just more blessed than I could ever deserve.

I was so excited when the fedex guy pulled up today and dropped off this package!

I ordered a couple of samples from this fabulous custom designed photo purse company and was so excited to see how they turned out. As a Mom I love showing off photos of my little ones and I need a big bag to tote all their junk & this bag will definitely hold all my stuff. I carried it around today and was already stopped by a couple of ladies at Macy's thinking it was so cute.

Blue Eyes

I am a sucker for blue eyes that come in little tiny bodies and this little guy surely did not disappoint - just stunning beautiful blue eyes and such an easy going baby. I love working with his Mommy because she is totally into photos and the session and that makes it super fun for me! I will see this little guy again in a couple of weeks and I am so excited to see how he has grown.

I hate Michigan winters!

Winter in Michigan is not my favorite! In fact I think it sucks - no better word for it... My hubby was just talking to his brother (who lives in the Florida Keys) and asked "are you freezing your *#* off yet?" At the time we were having balmy summer November days but things took a turn and now the bitter cold, chill you to the bone weather has arrived. I just hate it. It makes my back hurt because I walk around all scrunched up in an effort to stay warm. When we lived in Colorado we had winter and sure it was cold and snowed but it was so wonderful because the sun was out almost every day (Colorado has more sunny days than California) and with the dry air it didn't go right to your bones. So with fond memories I will remember Colorado winters and smile and then find my most comfy sweatpants, thickest sweater and curl up by the fireplace with a nice cut of hot chocolate (with lots of whipped cream) and try not to go outside.

Michelle and I have spent a lot of time shooting photos together lately & I have just loved working with her and meeting her gorgeous family. I first met her youngest little one at our wee play model search and then her gorgeous little girl from the lollipop princess party - she came with a most fabulous get up! We then scheduled a family shoot and I was surprised that this busy Mom had two more beautiful boys in her family. No wonder she is so skinny and gorgeous - I am sure keeping up with this crew doesn't give her much time to eat. :) How blessed she is to have such wonderful kids. My favorite shot is the one below with one of her little guys. We were talking about soccer and I asked him how he reacted when he scored a goal and this is what he told me!

I also love this one (below). Mom & Dad told the older boys to go get their little brother who had wandered down the trail and this was how they determined was the best way to bring him back. What a crack up!

Life is good - 10 days of posts!

I have been super busy & have been neglecting my blog. Sorry blog. I am going to try and post for 10 days straight since I have so many wonderful sessions that haven't seen the light of day. In order to keep myself accountable If anyone catches me not blogging over the next 10 days send me an e-mail and I will offer you a free session of your session of your choice - studio, urban, etc.

We have had a few furry friends join in on family sessions lately which has been really fun! It always adds a little excitement, a little chaos and always involves treats and lots of "sit", "sit", "sit".

The thing I love about dogs (not so crazy about cats - sorry cat people) is their effervescent spirit and complete joy for life. A little love, a walk outside and a few treats now and then and they are happy. When I am feeling overwhelmed & a little crabby I know its time to take a good long walk with Cooper outside. He is completely thrilled at just the mention of it and it totally revives me and lifts my spirits too. It helps if I can top it off with a little chocolate on our way home. So here's to our furry friends for reminding us not to take ourselves so seriously!

I like my hamburger extra crispy! Out of the office for a couple of days

Oh, you don't like yours like that? Well me neither but thats how my family got their hamburger tonight. In an effort to multitask- edit images, design holiday cards, cook dinner, do laundry and make crafts with my 3 year old - I somehow lost track of the hamburger smoking in the pan on top of my stove and it was extra crispy which is a nice way to say it was black as night and hard as a brick. I was attempting to make one of my husbands favorite meals shepherd's pie. Its a real stick to your bones, meat and potatoes feel good kind of meal and my hubby loves it. Well instead of scrapping the crispy hamburger and starting over (or just ordering take out) I thought to myself "Well surely if I add enough cream of mushroom soup that ought to cover the burnt flavor of the hamburger". Needless to say it didn't and dinner was not a big seller. :) Good thing I am a creative photographer and am not earning my living in the kitchen. We would surely be out on the street corner with our "will work for food" signs.

Also, I will be out of the office Wednesday through Friday this week. I will be checking e-mail & voicemail infrequently and will return all messages next Monday.

Her Mom - who was so obviously crazy about her little girl - said the weather hasn't been nice in years for her birthday so what a treat to have a gorgeous sunny day to capture this little beauty and for her to celebrate her special day!

I recently met Anne while shooting the models for wiggles n giggles. You may remember her oldest son was one of the winning models and is on display at their store. Following that shoot Ann asked about scheduling a portrait party with me. Well Anne had such a huge response that we ended up scheduling two parties back to back weekends one downtown Rockford and one downtown GR. Anne should win an award for being party diva extraordinaire!! She is just amazing. She sent me spreadsheets - yes wonderful beautiful spreadsheets that I can send right to my office manager - with all the participants names, time slots, kids names, etc. On the day of the party all the participants were 5 minutes early for their shoot, dressed to kill & just really wonderful families & kids to work with. Anne had snacks for everyone, treats for the kids and even brought me lunch - food always makes me happy! I just can't say enough good things about her. Her personality is so warm & welcoming that you feel like you are spending time with an old friend. I could tell that everyone involved in the party felt the same way about her. Thanks Anne for all you did. Here is a sneak peek of your family from party #2. Aren't her kids just beautiful? I would also be remiss if I didn't mention what a fabulous husband she has. He is the best when it comes to working the crowd (their two boys & their dog Austin) for photos. I think he has a bit of the energizer bunny in him. Enjoy!

Is there anything better than a beautiful newborn baby girl? Definitely not anything I can think of.

We just returned from Colorado and I hit the ground running this morning with consultations & shoots and then I had the privilege of shooting photos of this little beauty for one of my former wedding couples. I always adjust my schedule no matter how busy to squeeze in a newborn baby. I just love doing them and love being able to capture them in the very first fresh fleeting moments when they are super tiny & super curly & cuddly. Its hard to believe that fall is here and the holidays are fast approaching!! Fall sessions are booking up fast so if you are considering a session please book early to avoid disappointment. Here is all the info. regarding fall sessions:

Standard Signature on location and studio sessions are available through the end of October. See our portrait site for all the pricing information and calendar deadlines.

In the months of November and December we are only booking our Premier sessions. These sessions are our premium offering and include a beautiful session album of all your images. No standard signature sessions are available during these two months.

I have a beautiful line of custom holiday cards available, including a sample above. Cards are available for purchase with portrait sessions, seniors, weddings and take 2-3 weeks for design and printing.

If you do not require a full session, but wish to have stunning family photos for gifts and holidays cards you may want to consider a mini session or hosting one of our fabulous portrait parties. Mini sessions will be available October 4th and are just $100, last 15-20 minutes long, include an online gallery with 10-15 images, a complimentary holiday card design* and one 8x12 gift portrait. Time slots are booking fast so please call right away to get on our schedule.

Portrait order deadlines: Canvas Gallery Wraps & Albums: November 2nd, Holiday Cards: November 2nd, Standard Prints: November 9th.

I have had one gorgeous wedding after another this season with amazing crazy about each other couples at beautiful locations. The wedding I am posting today looks like it is straight out of In Style magazine's Hollywood's Hottest weddings. :)

This past weekend I had the privilege of sharing the day with Sherri and Clark who traveled all the way from their home in Los Angeles to get married in St. Clair, Michigan. The were married at her Uncle's private residence overlooking the water and it was just amazing. The best part of my job is being able to get a glimpse of people so in love and totally crazy about each other which is exactly how to describe the emotion between Sherri and Clark. Sherri was so beautiful and literally looked like an angel that could have floated in on a cloud. I am sure my 2 year old would have thought she was a princess. Another beautiful senior! I don't know if the class of 2009 is extra cute but I have had such fun shooting these adorable girls. I was talking with one of my clients the other day and realized all my senior clients this year have been girls... not that I don't like shooting boys but it is so much more fun with the girls - they are so much more into it which makes it a blast for me.

I was so excited to photograph these families again! We had a fabulous session a couple of years ago but I wasn't able to shoot a session for them last summer due to the arrival of our little Cass. It was so nice to see how their kiddos have grown and to see their own new little addition! They travel from New Jersey, Seattle and Chicago to spend time on Lake Michigan and we had a lot of fun romping around the beach. The kids were super fun running, jumping and laughing - I love the joy they have in their spirits!

Adam & Morgan

I had a fabulous time shooting Adam & Morgan's wedding and am so jealous that they are honeymooning in Hawaii! As I was choosing images for the blog I kept finding myself being drawn to the more serious images which was surprising since Morgan is so far from serious. It made me chuckle all day when I would ask her not to smile she literally had to take a minute, dig down deep and make a serious face which I thought was so cute. It really made me see what a joyful spirit she had in her heart - she just couldn't help but smiling and laughing. I also feel an enormous debt of gratitude towards Adam who serves in the military. He humbly explained to me what all his medals were for and as he simplified his explanation for me I couldn't help but think of the seriousness behind them. Thank you Adam and Morgan for allowing me to share your day with you!! Here are a few of my favs!

One of the things I love about being a photographer and Mom is that I get to experience the little joys of childhood through my munchkins and my clients kids. I long for days when I could just spin around in the sun and be as free as a bird! I think on our next trip to the park I will have to take a spin and then fall down on the ground laughing like my 2 year old does. Although I would love to claim her as my own she was just so darn cute this isn't one of my girls. Isn't she just an adorable little pixie?

You will receive a chance to have your child's image on display at wiggles n' giggles, a complimentary downtown photo session with Trudy, a free 8x10 portrait from your child's modeling session along with 25% off any one outfit from wiggles n' giggles.

Sessions will be held: Thursday June 26th from 10-4 pm, Saturday June 28th from 10-4 pm, Thursday July 10th from 10-4pm and Saturday July 12th from 10-4 pm.
